Damage due to recent fire, cause under investigation

June 4, 2020 (Louisville, Kentucky) – As reported by local Louisville, Kentucky news outlets, the Fourteen Foods DQ® location at 2208 Goldsmith Lane in Louisville incurred damages due to a fire after business hours on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation by local authorities.

“We are so incredibly thankful that none of our loyal fans nor dedicated employees were present in the restaurant when the incident occurred,” states Matthew Frauenshuh, Fourteen Foods CEO. “Due to the swift and responsive efforts of the dedicated Louisville Fire & Rescue team and other support professionals, the fire was quickly extinguished without harm to those on the front line or community members. Our amazing Fourteen Foods DQ® team has already begun clean-up efforts and we will be back and open soon, serving the Louisville community even stronger than ever,” affirms Frauenshuh.

Fourteen Foods is a leading multi-unit owner of 220+ Dairy Queen (DQ®) franchises in 13 states within the U.S. The faith-based company is also the largest DQ® franchisee in Kentucky which owns and operates 47 locations within the State. Fans can visit neighboring Poplar Level Rd and Taylorsville Rd locations during clean up building efforts. Employees will be provided with opportunities at neighboring locations during this period. A re-open date has not been established at this time but is expected in 2020.
